Webranking FAQ
Following our recent update regarding the future of Webranking, we have gathered answers to the most frequently asked questions below.
If you do not find the answer to your question here, please contact us at [email protected].
Q1: Why is Webranking changing now?
A: Digital corporate communication is evolving faster than ever, driven by AI, changing search behaviours and increasing expectations for real-time insight. While the current Webranking methodology has served clients well for many years, evolving it now allows us to continue delivering meaningful, future-proof value.
We are investing in the development of a new Webranking service, designed for today’s digital environment, with a planned launch during Q4 2026. The 2025–2026 edition will be the final Webranking delivered in its current format.
Q2: Will there be a Webranking 2026-2027 edition or a new ranking under new criteria? What will happen with the updates we’ve already made according to the report?
A: No, there will be no Webranking 2026-2027. Until the new service is launched, we cannot promise a ranking or evaluation based on any old criteria. However, the recommendations from the report remain relevant from a content perspective and are still expected by stakeholders. We are also happy to provide custom audits based on your needs.
Q3: What will the new product be like?
A: The new product is being developed as a dynamic, data- and insight-driven digital product, supported by AI and modern analytics. The goal is to deliver more frequent, relevant and actionable insights that better reflect how stakeholders engage with digital channels today.
Q4: Can I still order a Webranking report (in the current format)?
A: Yes, contact us at [email protected] if you are interested in ordering a report.
Q5: What happens to the ranking / competitive comparison when the format changes?
A: The 2025–2026 edition will be the final public ranking based on the current methodology and format. Benchmarking and comparative insights remain a core element of our approach, and this perspective will continue to be an important part of the future service.
Q6: What happens with the legacy Webranking reports and data? Can we still access previous results?
A: Yes. All existing Webranking reports remain valid for at least 14 months and continue to provide valuable historical benchmarks and insights.
Q7: As a current or past client, what should we do now?
A: You can continue using your existing Webranking reports for website updates, best practices, references and benchmarking. We also commit to keeping all clients informed and to offering support during the transition.
Q8: When will we get more information about the new service?
A: We plan to share more detailed information as development progresses. The launch is currently planned for Q4 2026.
