Designed to be read

Press release

Electrolux’s 2019 Annual Review has just been released. With a focus on telling the story of how the company creates value, the review has been designed with the intent to be read and used on digital devices.

The Annual Review is a companion to the full 2019 Annual Report. Where the Annual Report focuses on reporting the numbers, the review is fully committed to helping Electrolux’s message come through for investors and shareholders.

Telling the story

The key section at core of this goal is called “Create value”. It uses a combination of video content, illustrations, text, and photographs to communicate how Electrolux works across key areas such as innovation and efficiency, underpinned by the company’s solid financial foundation.

"The Annual Review serves to show what our strategy is and how we’re creating value for our shareholders. Through case stories, we want to bring the strategy to life and show in a tangible way the impact made by over a dozen case stories."
Sophie Arnius, Head of IR, Electrolux

Designed to be used

The content has been deliberately designed to be used on tablet devices during investor meetings. Basing the visual design and user experience on how the Annual Review was going to be used made a big difference when it came to its final design. As a high-quality brand, the Electrolux Annual Review experience needs to be on par with any of their products.

Designed for screens. Produced digital first.

Creating an annual review that works well and is enjoyable to read on mobile screens, tablets, and desktop is a different process from simply converting a print annual report to a digital format.

The digital approach also allows for the use of modern tools to manage the process, as well as key elements, including text corrections and comments on design and experience. Using a digital process from start to finish and designing for screen consumption has made the end product significantly better

PDFs are also important

The legal version of the Annual Report, presented as a downloadable PDF, is a companion document to the digital Annual Review. Since stakeholders value this format, the Annual Review is produced simultaneously as both a digital and PDF report, making the production process easy and streamlined.
The Annual Report and Annual Review PDF documents complement the online versions, offering a convenient option for users who wish to download and work with the content across separate documents.
